Tuesday In The Office…

What an awesome day!  The cold has finally arrived, at least for a few days.  It’s a brisk 28 degrees outside and I’m sitting in my Tuesday office drinking a Grande Pumpkin Spice Eggnog Latte and eating a Cinnamon Sticky Bun.  Tuesdays are a great day for me.  I usually have it as a day to myself because no one is in the office.  It’s when I get a lot of personal time with the Lord and I usually find a coffee shop with Internet (to catch up on e-mail and write some blog thoughts) and have contact with people I don’t know who I can hopefully strike up a conversation with.

Things can only get better as I reflect on this past Sunday.  It was an awesome day.  You are beginning to do a great job connecting with new people.  Someone took the opportunity to talk with a guest at the end of our service and led them to a decision to follow Jesus.  Awesome!paul-baloche.jpg

The Worship was sweet.  I absolutely loved the first song we sang. (Hosanna by Paul Baloche)  Great job guys.  Check out Paul’s latest on Myspace.

Don’t forget to check out the Volunteer opportunities listed on the bulletin board near the Welcome Center.  Our Guests need our assistance.  We need to serve.  Let’s provide the best for them.

Fasting info. will be available starting this Sunday.  We will be having our First Annual 21 Day Fast starting Jan. 6, 2008.  Also read about it on this site.

Our In Christ Image Class has been incredible.  I’m proud of you who have hung in there so far.  God is doing great things in us.  Pam is doing an awesome job facilitating and leading us.  Thanks Pam.  Great rewards!

I am pumped.  This week I noticed many of you connecting with each other through lunches, gatherings or Christmas Lifegroup parties.  Let’s continue to extend ourselves not just inward but also outward.  Use every opportunity to connect with people around you.  Invite and bring someone new to church this Sunday.  Strike us a conversation with someone new this week.

Spread the LOVE!

Transforming Life

"being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit." Ephesians 2:22

The Dwelling Place Community Church was founded on this verse. It embodies the principles that bring real change in life - transforming life. We believe we are being built together. Life was meant to be experienced together, not alone. Relationships are key to growth and transformation. We were created to be a dwelling place for God through Jesus Christ. God's presence in us transforms us. This kind of transforming life is not something we can create and maintain on our own, it is by the power of the Holy Spirit living and working in us. This is The Dwelling Place...
