Excitement is in the air! Some of it has to do with the Christmas season which is upon us. This is one of my favorite times of the year. All the running around to buy gifts and the decorating of our homes, are the preparations of that amazing day. It’s more than the presents – its the anticipation of His Presence.
For me as well as many of you who are a part of the Launch Team of THE DWELLING PLACE there is a growing excitement. It’s the anticipation of what God is doing in us, preparing us for something great. Let me thank you ahead of time for all your hard work to make THE DWELLING PLACE happen.
There is much going on behind the scenes in preparation for our Launch on Easter ‘08. There is also a lot of work being done to make weekly changes in our present pre-launch services as Maranatha Christian Fellowship. (If this is confusing to you click here before reading further.)
This coming Sunday there will be a display in our main enterance listing many opportunities of involvement and volunteering that will help us move toward becoming THE DWELLING PLACE, and providing for our new guests what they need to connect with God and discover the transforming life of Jesus. We are also beginning the legal procedures of establishing THE DWELLING PLACE COMMUNITY CHURCH with the State of NC and the Federal Government. Please be praying for this process to move quickly. In this, we will be finalizing and ratifying our Corporate By-laws, which is not an easy process, since this is the document that defines how we will function as a Church. These articles are important to help us function with integrity, fluidity, and unity.
Pray for us as we look for a possible new location and sale of our present. However, what God is looking for is an unencumbered people. We are not to be attached to the things of this world. Whatever we are to be and wherever we are to minister, we are to be our absolute best for His glory. Let’s seek to please Him whether here or somewhere else.
We need to become THE DWELLING PLACE before we launch The Dwelling Place. This means we have to allow God to do His work in us now. We must embrace the process and the journey while keeping our eyes set on the finish line. I look forward to worshiping with all of you each Sunday and anticipate God doing incredible things in our midst. So, stir up the gift in you. Get excited! Be passionate in worship. Serve each other with what God’s given you.
Let us become THE DWELLING PLACE of God in the Spirit!
